Willing Willie

Willie Revillame is indeed a lucky guy.  Oopps...  I would have to reword that.  Indeed Willie Revillame is blessed.  Aside from having the beautiful Councilor Shalani Soledad as his co-host, TV5 hired a topnotch legal team to help him in his court cases and two ABS-CBN motions for Temporary Restraining Order have been denied.   I think he is blessed because he has a soft spot in his heart for the poor, for the elderlies, and for the mentally challenged.

As I have written earlier, it was in Wowowee that Willie was able to redeem himself. Before Wowowee, Willie Revillame’s  roles in the shows he had a part  of were  somewhat insignificant.  He was even suspended several times for his indiscreet interaction with girl contestants.  I myself did not like Willie before.   But Wowowee made him a big man – even a hero in the eyes of the contestants and the “masa”.  And for that, he never failed to express his gratitude to ABS-CBN.

Modesty aside, I don’t consider myself as belonging to the “masa”, but I enjoyed watching Wowowee, and now Willling Willie.  I think both are excellent shows.   I know there are people that are turned off by his arrogance.  But his arrogance is easily negated by his generosity toward the less fortunate.   But like Shalani, what I don’t like is his being a “babaero”.
