In Everything, Give Thanks

1 Thess. 5:18 “In everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.”

Dear God, thank you for giving me life. Thank you for my parents who brought me into this world. Thank you for my brothers and sisters. Thank you for my husband, thank you for my daughters and their respective families. Thank you for friends who were channels of your blessings. Thank you for your daily provision, for daily protection, for strength for the day. Thank you for all the blessings and even for the trials that you allowed to come my way. I know dear God that you allowed them for a good purpose. You allowed them in my life in order to call my attention, because there are times that when life is smooth sailing, I take many things for granted. Forgive me dear God for the times that I take credit for the things that it was you who should be honored. Everything that I have, everything that I am is because of you. I know dear God that without you, I am nothing. Help me dear God to be the kind of person you want me to be. I know that by myself, I will not be able to be that kind of person. May my life reflect you in me.
