The Average Life Span of the Filipino

It has been established recently through research, that the average lifespan of the Filipino man is 67, while for women, it is 72.

It has been a general knowledge that women live longer than men. Maybe this is so because men in general are not health conscious. They do not want to see a doctor. They are afraid of injections, to them, being confined in a hospital is unthinkable.

On the other hand, women are not afraid of being confined in the hospital, maybe it’s because most women have been confined in a hospital at least once, when they gave birth to a child. In addition, women are naturally vain and are very particular about their looks, which is why they resort to the use of many beauty products such as sugar scrubs.

Many centuries ago, in the Old Testament times, people lived up to hundreds of years. I think that it was possible because there was no pollution during those times. People were healthier then than today because they did things physically, unlike now that almost everything that needs to be done are done through the help of machines. And these machines contribute to pollution that is hazardous to our health.

However, whether we live only a few years, or live to be a hundred, it doesn’t matter. What is important is that we should live a life that is glorifying to God – our Creator, our Savior, our Provider, our Guide, and our Protector.

“In all your ways, acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths.” Proverbs 3:6

“Whether therefore you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.” 1 Cor. 10:31
