Manny Pacquiao, the Philippine's Pride

Well, here I am again, musing about Pacquiao’s forthcoming fight on May 7.  Pardon me for being a diehard fan of the greatest boxer of all time.  This is my fourth article about Pacquiao.  I just could not stop myself writing about him.

But I don’t think anyone can blame me for feeling this way.  Pacquiao has been winning all his fights after that last defeat from Erik “El Terrible” Morales on their first bout in 2005.  Pacquiao got a cut on his left eye in that fight.  However, in the two rematches, Pacquiao proved himself the better fighter by winning over Morales.   In the first rematch, Morales was stopped for the first time in his long career.  Pacquiao was the only boxer who was able to do that to Erik Morales.  El Terrible  had a record of not being knocked out by any boxer.  But that record was broken when he fought Pacquiao the third time.

Then from then on, Pacquiao won all the fights with Larios, Barrera,  Solis, Marquez, Diaz, Dela Hoya, Hatton, Cotto, Clottey, and the latest was Margarito.

In less than three months, Manny Pacquiao will again climb the ring to fight Sugar Shane Mosley, who had said that the fight will not go the distance.  What does Mosley mean by that?  That before the fight ends, someone will already be declared the winner?  Who?  Mosley or Pacquiao?  Well, most people are sure that it is Pacquiao who will win.

Let’s just hope that as usual, Pacquiao will train very hard for this fight and that he will not encounter any distraction while he trains.
