SBC 2011 Youth Camp

“Mama, I will not let go of the hand of God. I will give away my wii and my other toys, I will not love my toys

more than I love God.” According to my daughter Jen, that is what Jed said last Tuesday night at Camp Kabataan.

My daughter, together with her husband, Pastor Jeff, and their 5-year-old son Jed, joined the Youth Camp last week at Camp Kabataan in Tarlac.

The theme of the youth camp this year is RPG Metanoia (R for repentance, P for purity and G for godliness).

According to the report, there were 958 campers; 299 received Christ as their Savior, 158 re-commitments, and 165 surrendering to the ministry. To God be the glory!

I always love to hear reports about people getting saved in camp, because personally, it was in a youth camp more that I was saved when I was 13 years old.

Aside from being fed spiritually, the youth had a grand time getting to know one another and enjoying wholesome activities/games.

The picture above shows Jed helping Pastor Lance put meal packs on the cart for the campers.

Above, Jed is shown beside a stone where Philippians 4:6 is carved: "In everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God."
