Life on earth is temporary
One of the subjects I had when I was in college was Obligations and Contracts. It is a Law subject and my professor’s method of teaching was interesting. When we touched the subject of insurance, the professor asked us if we had an idea of what is life insurance. Somehow, because my father was an insurance adjuster then, I had an idea of what it is about. It is a contract between an individual and an insurance company whereby a person agrees to make payments to the insurance company, and the insurance company agrees to pay a stipulated amount of money to the person chosen as beneficiary when that person (the insured) dies.
My third job after my first college course was in an insurance company where I worked as secretary to the manager of a non-life insurance company.
Almost all my teachers had passed on. Looking back, the awareness and realization that I am just passing by in this world is becoming more vivid, and sooner or later, I will be gone and another person will pass by.
“Only one life, t’will soon be past, only what’s done for Christ will last.”
Because life on earth is temporary, we must not waste our time, we must do good in this life.
