He Giveth More Grace
Nine years ago just several months before I retired, I was so apprehensive about finances, because I would no longer have a reliable and regular source of income. Although I knew that God will supply all my needs, I could not discount the fact that life would not be the same given that financial area of my life.
However, to this day, I can say that God has taken care of me and He has proven time and again that He is my Provider, Protector, Savior and Almighty and Gracious God. He never failed to shower me with His blessings – I never failed to pay my monthly utility bills, there was always food on the table, and He even surprises me with some things which are not really necessary but very delightful for me.
I love the Lord, because He has heard my voice and my pleas for mercy. Because He inclined His ear to me, therefore I will call on Him as long as I live. (Psalm 116:1-2)
HE GIVETH MORE GRACE
He giveth more grace as our burdens grow greater,
He sendeth more strength as our labors increase;
To added afflictions He addeth His mercy,
To multiplied trials He multiplies peace.
When we have exhausted our store of endurance,
When our strength has failed ere the day is half done,
When we reach the end of our hoarded resources
Our Father’s full giving is only begun.
Fear not that thy need shall exceed His provision,
Our God ever yearns His resources to share;
Lean hard on the arm everlasting, availing;
The Father both thee and thy load will upbear.
His love has no limits, His grace has no measure,
His power no boundary known unto men;
For out of His infinite riches in Jesus
He giveth, and giveth, and giveth again.
