God bless you, Jeff, Jen and Jed!

First of all, I would like to greet Jeff - happy 49th birthday! One year na lang, golden boy ka na.

As most of you know, we have a very small family. Bay and I are blessed with two beautiful daughters. When they got married, they left our home to build families of their own, and we accepted that eventually, Bay and I would become empty nesters.

But life had other plans.  In 2019, we found ourselves all living together again in one address.  Each daughter with a child of her own. It wasn’t something we planned, but it turned out to be a blessing.  I was truly happy with that arrangement, although I know that Ted would have preferred a home with his own family only.

Tomorrow, Jeff, Jen, and Jed will be leaving us.  Siyempre, malungkot. But we also feel joy knowing that they are going in obedience to God’s calling - to share His love and salvation with those who do not yet know Him.

God bless you, Jeff, Jen, and Jed.  I will miss you all, especially you, Jed my favorite grandson. For  more than a year, dahil hindi ka na hinahatid ni Lolo mo sa Pisay, I made it a point to wake up early just to see you off and give you my blessing before you left for school.  Now that you are leaving, mawawala na rin ang pagkakataon kong sabihin sa iyo tuwing umaga, “God bless you, Jed. I love you.”
