Forgiven!

Psalm 32:1,2  “Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered.  Blessed is the man unto whom the Lord imputeth not iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no guile.”

The word “blessed” means happy.  When I received the Lord Jesus Christ as my personal Savior decades ago, God forgave all my sins.  I became His child.  That is the reason a child of God is blessed or happy.  Imagine God already forgave my sins?  That is the most important decision that a person can make – receiving God’s salvation.  That is the most important event in a person’s life.  I remember I was so enthusiastic months after that wonderful event.  I told my mother about it, and one day in church, she too accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as her personal Savior.  I copied select beautiful Bible verses in small pieces of paper and pasted them on the inside front and back covers of all my notebooks for my classmates to see.

Thank you, dear God for your free gift of salvation.  Because of this, I am assured of a place in heaven when my time on earth is done.
